Richard Kendall Wells

Richard Kendall Wells, 73, formerly of West Lebanon, N.H., died unexpectedly at his home in Manhattan on Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018.

He was born Dec. 4, 1944, in Hartford, Conn., the son of Robert and Jennie (Kendall) Wells. Richard attended school in West Lebanon and graduated from Lebanon High School in 1962. He later earned his bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College in 1966 and attended the Thayer School of Engineering, Harvard Business School and MIT.

Richard served as founding president of the NorthEast Regional Computer Program. He worked in venture capital at JPMorgan and later owned and operated an oil and gas company. For the past 20 years Richard owned Computer Help, where he gave basic assistance as well as industry consultation.

Richard was a member of the First Monday Harvard Businessmen’s Club in Manhattan. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church. He enjoyed photography and spending time outdoors sailing and jogging. Richard loved with his whole heart and will be missed by many.

Richard was predeceased by his parents and his sister Margaret Wells. He leaves behind his sister Carolyn Furbish of Lebanon as well as two nephews, Shawn Furbish of Canaan and Jeremy Furbish of West Valley City, Utah, and former spouse Patricia Goodlet Wells of Los Angeles, Calif.

A Memorial Service will be held at the West Lebanon Congregational Church on July 26th at 10 a.m.. Committal will follow at West Lebanon Cemetery.
