Our Class Constitution specifes that we elect Class Officers every five years at our Reunion Class Meeting. For our 50th Reunion, the meeting is scheduled for 9:00AM on Saturday, June 11. Our Class Constitution also specifies that the Class President appoint a Nominating Committee. Steve Lanfer, Gary Broughton and Rick MacMillan have agreed to serve, with Steve chairing. The Committee is required to post on our Class website a slate of nominees for President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer at least 30 days prior to the Class meeting.

The Constitution also specifies that in addition to the Committee’s slate, the Nominating Committee shall place on the ballot for consideration at least 15 days prior to the Class meeting the names of any Classmates who obtain 25 signed petitions from other Classmates. Certified notarization is not required.

The Nominating Committee is also responsible for collecting votes at the Class meeting and from those not attending the meeting by electronic ballot, mail, or e-mail (received no earlier than 15 days and at least 24 hours prior to the meeting). A ballot and directions for voting prior to the class meeting will be posted to our Class website 15 days prior to the Class meeting.

  1. The President will act as the executive head of the Class. It will be his responsibility to chair all meetings, to establish goals for the Class, initiate new projects, and carry out policy of the Executive Committee. In addition, the President shall exercise general supervision over all other officers to ensure the proper performance of their functions.
  2. The Vice President shall act for the President when he is temporarily unable to perform his duties for any reason and perform other special projects requested by the President or Executive Committee.
  3. The Secretary shall prepare minutes of all class and Executive Committee meetings and the Class notes for the Dartmouth Alumni Magazine. The Secretary shall be the custodian of Class files and records.
  4. The Treasurer of the Class shall receive and disburse all funds of the Class subject to the direction of the Executive Committee and shall submit an annual financial report to the President and prepare the annual federal income tax return.

President: Jim Lustenader
Since graduation, I have been an active volunteer for both the College and the Class of ’66; here's a summary of my record of involvement: Applicant Interviewer; Vice President, Dartmouth Club of Westchester County; President, Dartmouth Club of Princeton; Chair, Class of ’66 Scoreboard Fund; Agent and Head Agent for the DCF; Chair, Class of ’66 Lodge Fund; Mini-Reunion and 45th Reunion Chair; Co-Chair, Class of ’66 Bunkhouse Fund; Co-Chair, 50th Reunion; Class Vice President [incumbent].

Vice-President: John Rollins
Since our commencement in 1966, I have remained engaged with Dartmouth. I have served as an alumni interviewer, and continue to serve as a class agent. I have served on our class’s Executive Committee for various terms and on our 45th reunion planning committee. In 2011 I was elected as our class’s representative on the Alumni Council and served there until 2014. For our 50th reunion, I am serving as the affinity group coordinator for my fraternity’s gathering on Saturday afternoon. I have served on the planning committee for two of our class birthday parties. I hosted our class's 50th birthday party at our home in Washington, DC.

Secretary: Larry Geiger
I have been involved with Dartmouth and Class of 1966 activities pretty much continuously since graduation. I am the incumbent Class Secretary and have served in that position for more than 40 years. At various times I have been Class Newsletter Editor, Alumni Council Representative, an Admissions Interviewer and President of the Class Secretaries Association.

Treasurer: Bob Serenbetz
I have been serving as Treasurer of the Dartmouth Club of Philadelphia for the last five years. Past positions with the Class of 1966 include Class President (1991-2001), Class Newsletter Editor (2001-2011), Class Rep to the Alumni Council (2002-2005), Mini Reunion Chair (2011-2016), and 50th Reunion Co-Chair. While in these roles, I also served as Chairman of the Alumni Council’s Residential Life Committee and as President of the Newsletter Editors’ Association.
